Why Toastmasters?
There are dozens of organizations that focus on teaching public speaking skills. Toastmasters is unique because we provide an ongoing learning experience at a fraction of the price. Our environment is designed to provide ongoing, encouraging feedback to our members based on their skill level and experience, and allows our members to grow at their pace.
Because we are an ongoing educational format, we do not focus on speeding members through our program and having them forget what they've learned two weeks later. Our unique, ongoing format allows members to continuously improve and sharpen their skills while developing a network of like-minded people wherever their lives take them.
Why Simply Speaking?
With over 130 clubs across Colorado and Wyoming, finding a club that meets your needs can be daunting. Some Toastmasters clubs focus on a specific membership base, such as project managers, professional speakers, or are a resource group within a company. Most clubs have a similar format, so finding a club with the right personality and educational focus is critical.
Simply Speaking is a family-style club that allows people of all different skill levels to find a comfortable, positive, and encourageing environment in which to learn. While we do have several members who are professional speakers, we also have members who have never spoken to a group before, as well as retirees who come for the friends and stories.
Simply Speaking also has a strong focus on leadership development. In our 20 year history our club has been home to District Executive leaders, National Advisors, a variety of other notable leadership positions across Colorado and Wyoming. Our current membership (as of July, 2024) includes one Past Region Advisor (trainer and consultant for 6 Toastmasters Districts), 3 past District Directors/Governors, 3 past District Finance Managers, and 11 past (and current) Area and Division Directors.
If developing leadership skills is what you are seeking, look no further!
